WHAT THE #^@&$*!?% EVEN IS MY LIFE 😍😍😍😍

When I heard that After Midnight was closing, I immediately texted my friend Caitlyn and asked if she would go to see it with me, and we ordered tickets. So we drove all the way to Trenton and took the train to the city and saw the show. Which was INCREDIBLE. If you can get there before it closes next week, GO. Patti LaBelle is amazing, Dulé Hill is perfect for his role, and the rest of the cast is so talented, it was stunning. The choreography and musical arrangements were beautiful and the lighting was spectacular. And that pit. Holy cow. But anyway, after the show we went out to the stage door. Surprisingly, there weren’t all that many people waiting—maybe 50 or so, if that. But most of them were waiting for Patti LaBelle. So after a while, Ms. LaBelle came out and everyone was freaking out and she was SO SWEET. Like she signed EVERY PLAYBILL handed to her and was in pictures and videos, it was awesome. And then she left and everyone except about six of us cleared out. We waited a while longer for Dulé Hill to come out. I guess he eventually found out there were only a few of us, so he came out and apologized for keeping us waiting. Caitlyn and I were standing RIGHT NEXT to the stage door at that point, so he took my playbill first to sign and I was completely speechless. I finally managed to squeak out “could I get a picture?” to which he replied “of course!” And then I almost knocked over the railing by accident and also almost died because I was standing next to Dulé freaking Hill and Caitlyn took my picture and then we left and went over to Newsies stage door and I met some newsies and that’s a whole other adventure in itself. But I just wanted to share because today was so amazing.

Yay a full week of staring at one of my most disappointing failures of the year in the face every time I go on twitter and it’s a really inconvenient week yay
